Smooth sailing, an olive oil tasting at an olive tree farm, a 1,000 year old olive tree, and pictures of taking pictures.
We have an enjoyable and interesting visit to Athens. So much history here. The Acropolis, Temple of Zeus, Changing of the Guards, and amazing views of it all from the top of a mountain.
I head up the 200 foot Santorini Cliffs to get some iconic Greek photos!
Christian history in Turkey. Virgin Mary's house? Ephesus. And the burial place of St. John?
We board Queen Victoria for a 14 day cruise. First stop: Rhodes, Greece.
A few more days in Rome with Mother's Day being our last full day here.
Visiting the ruins in Pompeii. Finding the Go, Dog. Go! tree. Experiencing some great pizza and burrata.
In Rome for a few days we meet up with Brandon and Mindy. We visit the the Colosseum, the Sistine Chapel, the Pantheon, some beautiful churches, and enjoy some great meals.
We return to Siena one more time. We learn how olive oil is made, do an olive oil tasting, and tour a very old and beautiful monastery.
Borgo Scopeto is an old castle/vineyard/olive oil farm with a hotel. We stay on property for 5 days without leaving. This is the Tuscany we envisioned, and it was delightful to enjoy!
