Roseau, Dominica
A visit to Roseau, Dominica, and not seeing the botanical garden but we did see a nice plant on the sidewalk.
We had high hopes of walking 1.5 miles to a botanical garden. As we walked along we were enjoying the natural beauty. But after we crossed the bridge over the river, things got a little dicey.
We had to turn around and get back to the port area where it was safer. On our way back we avoided a car without wheels abandoned on the sidewalk, and a float for the Dominica Carnival which starts today and runs for a month.
I'll let the picture of the float speak for itself.

Mitzi saw this interesting plant on our way back.
When we got back to the ship we rested in the Executive Lounge and refreshed with water and ginger ale. It was so hot outside, we hadn't brought water, and it was nice to get hydrated again.
I was explaining how to focus the Leica Q3 when Mitzi took that shot.
As the ship was leaving the port Mitzi was walking around the upper deck for exercise and saw this beautiful rainbow.
While Roseau didn't work out for the botanical garden, we still had a nice time walking around and enjoying the sites.
