Puerto Montt, Chile

Hiking on a volcano and Bluey joins the seafaring family.

Puerto Montt, Chile

After two days at sea and some hot-tubbing, we arrived in Puerto Montt, Chile. It's getting warmer as we head north.

Mitzi did a hiking excursion and hopped on a tender at the tender hour of 7:30a.

I'm on a roll with an app I'm building and decided to work all day on it, so stayed on the ship.

When I finally got up and opened the curtain, I saw a beautiful sight. The Oceania Marina! This was the ship we were on for 5 weeks in Europe in 2023. That has been my favorite ship, until Vista which we are on now.

Mitzi rode in a bus for about an hour and a half to get to the base of Osorno Volcano. In 1840 Darwin was sailing by this place and saw Osorno blowing it's top off. That's the last time it's gone off.

She hiked up the barren land.

That plant is a rhubarb plant, the biggest she's ever seen! Then they drove over to Petrohue Falls where she saw the rhubarb plant.

Mitzi did some solo hiking at the falls. So pretty there!

When she got back to the ship she had a little present for me.

Bluey! Pinky needed a pal. So now we have two penguins and they keep eachother company while we are gone haha.

We have a sea day tomorrow then a day in Valparaiso, Chile.
