Mitzi Turns 52

We got to celebrate Mitzi's birthday in Utah this year!

Her parents took us out to lunch at Taggart's Grill where we enjoyed a nice meal and their company.

Then Mitzi and I headed over to Park City to stay there for a couple days for the birthday festivities. On our way she showed me some of her old stomping grounds and we ate lunch at Mirror Lake Diner in Kamas.

Then headed over to Oakley Polar King for a delicious shake.

We had a very nice suite at the Waldorf Astoria in Park City and really loved it!

Maddy and Lizzie came up to the resort on Mitzi's birthday and exchanged gifts. Lizzie perfected Mitzi's nails, the flowers I got Mitzi arrived on time, and we enjoyed the pool in the afternoon.

Josh and Preston came up to join us for dinner. We went to the Italian restaurant Grappa and had a great time dining and talking and celebrating Mitzi.

Mitzi said she felt better on this birthday more than any of the others since Brandon died. I'm very happy for her. It's such a horrible thing when your spouse dies and brings so much pain and loss. Loss not just of the person, but of the many parts of life that were there because the person was there.

So it's a wonderful thing that she was able to have a birthday where she felt good and was able to completely enjoy it with her parents and children and me :)
