Family Reunion 2019

The Jones/Janis 2019 gathering -- 3 days with the most wonderful people on earth, and who we are privileged to call family.

JUNE 27-30 Another occasion to be thankful for this wonderful group of people we call family.

We decided to stay close to home this year and rented two 4-bedroom 4-bathroom homes in Washington, Utah. Navy (3) quickly identified one as "the party house" and the other as "the quiet house".

We ate delicious food. Enjoyed great conversations. Played games, hiked, swam, and napped ;)

We had fun with these giant hats. Baylie also tried on lots of beautiful dresses. We would clap when she would emerge from the dressing room because she looked darling in everything! And 25 and Main for a quick cupcake and lunch.

A week or so before the reunion we noticed an axe throwing venue in town. We thought we would ask if anyone was interested....... YES!

This year Macall has taught some cooking classes in northern Utah. We asked her if she would be willing to head up a meal. She said yes and made delicious home made tortillas for a yummy taco dinner!

After tripling the recipe: 3 cups flour, 3/4 cup shortening, 2 tsp baking powder, 1 1/2 tsp salt, 3/4 cup hot water.....the men rolled out her dough super thin!

Saturday morning we headed out the door by 8:00a to eat breakfast at the delicious Red Rock Brewery.....breakfast sandwiches, smoothies, cinnamon rolls, bread pudding........mmmmmmm

The Restaurant sits on the edge of the Virgin River Gorge. After breakfast we hiked down to the river below.

Before dinner we stopped off at Pioneer Park for some self timed family photos! They turned out great! This group is beautiful inside and out!

For our last night together we went to dinner at Anasazi Steak House. Filet Mignon, New York Strip, Chicken, Scallops, Cheese and Chocolate Fondue..... It was a feast!

Swimming, Napping, Home made Ice Cream, Jeopardy, Speed Sibling, and Card Games. It was a great 3 days together! We so appreciate everyone's efforts to come, pitch in, and enjoy our time together. Thank You ❤️

Grandchildren, swimming, card games, table hockey, and practicing being a dad :) We loved every moment!

We feel so much gratitude to be part of this wonderful group of people, our family. These relationships are what we value most in this sometimes crazy and topsy-turvy life. Thank you for surrounding us with your love and also please know – you are all loved.
