Christmas in the Sand
Rebuilding a life we love sometimes means inventing new ways to do the Holidays.
A few months after we were married the Christmas Season was upon us. We attacked it like any other normal year.....the full decorum..... big family parties, extensive decorations, lots of gifts and old traditions. We gave it our best.......but it was physically exhausting and emotionally draining.
All of those wonderful things we had so enjoyed in our previous lives felt so different now.
As the second Christmas rolled around we looked forward to experiencing something brand new! We broke free from old decorations and past traditions and booked a 2-week trip to Cocoa Beach, Florida.
We sent family gifts via Amazon and offered our non-married children a plane ticket to join us. We had a wonderful relaxing Christmas.
Some favorites included: Cocoa Beach and Pier, Ron Jons Surf Shop, Valient Air Command Warbird Museum, Cocoa Village Play House, Cocoa Beach Spa, Ossorio Bakery & Cafe....this place has the best chocolate croissants, Clayton's Crab Company, & The Florida Key Lime Pie Company.
Some candid video tid bits :)
If there is one thing I have learned in rebuilding a life....it's that you may end up loving all kinds of new things ❤.
