Carter's Move to Mobile Alabama - Real Life Starting

Logan, Sydney, and Benson move to Mobile Alabama and we help them get settled.

Carter's Move to Mobile Alabama - Real Life Starting

We met the movers at 7p at the house, the Carter's were still driving and would arrive in the morning.

I didn't get any pictures until the movers had finished the job and were getting the truck ready to leave. At 11p!

The Carter's arrived at 3:30a. Mitzi and I went to their new house around 11a after sleeping in a bit given the late night.

Benson was so excited to see us, and we excited to see him!

I love how this picture of Benson came out, great portrait!

Sydney purchased this ortho sweater, so funny and fun!

Sydney and Mitzi put together this closet organizer. Perfect!

Benson dressed up as the hulk. The third picture is right after Mitzi asked the Hulk to give her a kiss – OH NO haha. This boy loves costumes and dressing up!

The next day Logan decided to jump in his pool. Unheated, it was pretty cold.

Mitzi enjoys a satsuma. They have two trees that produce a lot of this wonderful fruit. We have been enjoying them immensely.

The Carter's went to Target to do some shopping. I joined in and did some peek-a-boo with Benson.

On our way home this Christmas decorated Nissan passed us.

The next day Mitzi organized Benson's room. She organized it perfectly, everything has a place and is easily accessible. Benson loves it.

Benson took a nap during the day.

Brandon's Glock which Logan has now.

This hammer is hanging on a nail on the back of their fence.

We had dinner at Taco Mama. Great food! This was my first time, everyone else had been there a time or two. I'm sure it will be a favorite when we come out to visit.

After dinner Benson enjoyed some frozen yogurt. I love this picture with Logan and Benson.

The move has been successful.

I did two projects. First was to make all the lighting warmer. All the lights were using a blue light which is really harsh on the eyes and brain.

I replaced all the light bulbs with 2700 Kelvin which is a gentle warm light like incandescent bulbs. Ahhh, much better.

My second project which took a few days was to replace all the light switches with new and better ones. Some of the old switches were still in the house and were about 30 years old. They had dirt in them that just couldn't get out.

I replaced them with the more elegant long switches and they are beautiful. It's a nice finishing touch that enhances the look and feel of the house, not to mention they are clean!

Mitzi helped with unpacking and organizing.

We've enjoyed helping the Carter's get situated and settled and organized. Lizzie and Josh are coming out for Thanksgiving so we look forward to that.
